Walk the plank!
Something happened to my blogging... I think it was summer...
Speaking of summer, I could probably spend my entire summer
doing the next thing on my awesome list of awesomeness:
LONGBOARDING!
Spending time on a plank with four wheels attached to it might seem like a boring and stupid idea at first, but try it for real once, and you're hooked for life!
The feeling of freedom that fills your heart when cruising around town chilling with some friends, or the thrill and surge of adrenaline when going downhill at high speeds is amazing!
Or maybe you would prefer to just go from place to place, as a means of transportation, or play around at a parking lot doing tricks.
There's so many awesome things that could be said about boarding, but I'm going to try to keep it short, and stick to the essentials.
If you have never tried it, go down to your local boardshop, buy a decent board and get rolling!
You could of course loan one from a friend, but having your own is certainly the best way to go.
So, what kind of board should you get?
Theres a whole sea full of different manufacturers of decks, wheel, trucks and bearings, and finding the right parts might not be so easy.
If you're a beginner, you might find it easier to use a shop or a website that sells pre-assembled kits.
I myself buy all my stuff from mrboard.se, a small Swedish company run by two brothers, however, I'm sure you can find a local shop and/or a website that suits you.

Lastly, a few pointers when choosing your board and setup:
1. What do you want to do with the board? Cruise? Go downhill? Do tricks?
Choose a board that is suited for what you want to do.
2. The trucks, the wheels and the bearings effects the way your board will behave, choose wisely!
3. It's okay to mix it up, using the "wrong" kind of wheels for a particular board, but maybe you should wait a while, get some experience first.
4. Remember, you can always ask for help when choosing, dont be afraid to ask someone more experienced.
So, there you go, a few thoughts of mine about the awesomeness that is longboarding!
What are you waiting for, go and get rolling, it's AWESOME!
